1. Product Overview

Antmee® Vinyldimethyl-terminated Polydimethylsiloxane is a series of clear, colorless linear polydimethylsiloxane fluids featuring reactive vinyl functional groups at both polymer chain ends. These terminal vinyl groups enable the polymer to participate in addition-cure (hydrosilylation) reactions with hydride-functional crosslinkers in the presence of platinum catalysts, as well as peroxide-cure systems for high-temperature vulcanizing applications 。

As the foundational base polymer for addition-cure silicone systems, Antmee® Vi-PDMS fluids offer exceptional versatility in formulating liquid silicone rubber (LSR), room-temperature vulcanizing (RTV) elastomers, and high-strength silicone gels. The series spans a range of viscosity grades, allowing formulators to precisely control the crosslink density, mechanical properties, and processing characteristics of the final cured silicone product 。

3. Standard Specifications by Viscosity Grade

Please refer to the specific Antmee® product code for detailed Certificate of Analysis (CoA) data, including precise vinyl content and molecular weight distribution.

Antmee® Vi-100 (Viscosity: 100 cSt)
A low molecular weight, low-viscosity reactive fluid characterized by relatively high vinyl content per unit mass. Antmee® Vi-100 serves as an excellent reactive diluent in liquid silicone rubber (LSR) formulations, reducing overall system viscosity for improved mold filling and processing characteristics 。 It also functions as an effective chain extender and surface treatment agent where high reactivity and deep substrate penetration are required.

Antmee® Vi-3500 (Viscosity: 3,500 cSt)
A medium molecular weight grade that offers an optimal balance between reactivity and mechanical properties in the cured state. This viscosity falls within the sweet spot for many general-purpose addition-cure silicone applications. It provides good flowability during mixing and dispensing while delivering sufficient crosslink density to achieve robust elastomeric properties. Typical vinyl content for this grade is approximately 0.18-0.23% 。

Antmee® Vi-10000 (Viscosity: 10,000 cSt)
A high-viscosity base polymer designed for premium silicone rubber formulations requiring enhanced mechanical strength and elongation. Antmee® Vi-10000 contains a lower vinyl content per unit mass (approx. 0.12-0.16%), resulting in a cured network with longer, more flexible chain segments between crosslinks 。 This grade is widely used in mold-making silicones, high-strength adhesives, and electronic encapsulation compounds where superior elasticity and tear resistance are essential 。

Antmee® Vi-20000 (Viscosity: 20,000 cSt)
An ultra-high viscosity grade offering maximum chain length and minimal vinyl content (approx. 0.10-0.12%) 。 Antmee® Vi-20000 provides exceptional elongation, low modulus, and outstanding thermal stability in the cured state. It is the preferred base polymer for applications requiring maximum flexibility and durability, including high-performance RTV-2 mold rubbers, shock-absorbing gels, and electronic potting compounds subjected to extreme thermal cycling. This grade also serves as a key component in high-temperature vulcanizing (HTV) silicone rubber compounds 。

4. Primary Applications

  • Liquid Silicone Rubber (LSR) Base Polymer: Antmee® Vi-PDMS serves as the primary component in two-part addition-cure LSR systems for injection molding applications. When combined with hydride-functional crosslinkers and platinum catalysts, it cures rapidly to form durable, heat-resistant silicone elastomers used in automotive components, medical devices, and consumer goods 。

  • High-Temperature Vulcanizing (HTV) Silicone Rubber: Used as a base gum or modifier in peroxide-cured HTV silicone rubber compounds. It enhances the hardness, tensile strength, and overall mechanical integrity of the final elastomer 。

  • Encapsulants and Potting Compounds: Provides excellent electrical insulation and environmental protection for sensitive electronic components. The cured silicone exhibits superior dielectric properties and resistance to moisture, dust, and thermal shock 。

  • Mold-Making Silicones: Formulated into RTV-2 silicone rubbers for precision mold making applications. Offers high tear strength, excellent release properties, and faithful reproduction of fine surface details 。

  • Polymer Modification: Reacts with organic polymers such as polyurethane and acrylic resins to produce hybrid materials with enhanced weatherability, UV resistance, and low-temperature flexibility 。

  • Silicone Gels and Sealants: Serves as the base for soft, tacky silicone gels used in vibration damping, thermal interface materials, and protective sealants for delicate assemblies 。

5. Packaging and Storage Information

  • Packaging Options: Available in 20 kg pails, 50 kg HDPE drums, or 200 kg steel drums depending on viscosity and volume requirements 。 Custom packaging available upon request.

  • Shelf Life: 36 months (3 years) from the date of manufacture when stored in the original, unopened container under recommended conditions. Product may be retested and used after the expiration date if specifications are met 。

  • Storage Conditions: Store in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated area away from direct sunlight, moisture, and sources of heat or ignition. Keep containers tightly sealed when not in use to prevent contamination. Recommended storage temperature range: 5°C to 35°C. Protect from freezing and avoid contact with strong oxidizing agents 。
