Product Type: Free-Flowing Spherical Silicone Powder

1. Product Overview

Antmee® Siloxane Powder is a series of highly cross-linked, spherical silicone polymer powders designed to deliver the unique benefits of silicone in a convenient, easy-to-handle solid format. These free-flowing fine powders combine the inherent thermal stability, lubricity, and hydrophobicity of silicone with the mechanical properties of a solid particulate filler. The spherical morphology and controlled particle size distribution ensure excellent dispersibility in a wide range of organic resins, elastomers, and personal care formulations .

The Antmee® Siloxane Powder series encompasses two primary product categories. Silicone Resin Powders (Polymethylsilsesquioxane) feature a three-dimensional network structure that provides high hardness, thermal resistance, and excellent anti-blocking properties . Silicone Elastomer Powders feature a cross-linked polydimethylsiloxane structure that delivers a unique soft-focus effect, exceptional tactile smoothness, and impact modification capabilities .

2. Typical Physical & Chemical Properties

Antmee® SP-R Series – Silicone Resin Powder (Polymethylsilsesquioxane)
These powders are composed of highly cross-linked polymethylsilsesquioxane featuring a three-dimensional network structure . They are characterized by high hardness, excellent thermal resistance, and superior anti-blocking performance. Antmee® SP-R powders are the preferred choice for matting agents, light diffusing agents in LED lighting applications, and anti-blocking additives for plastic films. Available in particle sizes including 2 μm and 5 μm .

Antmee® SP-E Series – Silicone Elastomer Powder
These powders are composed of cross-linked polydimethylsiloxane elastomer, offering a softer, more rubbery tactile character compared to resin powders . They provide exceptional slip and lubricity, improved impact resistance when compounded into plastics, and a distinctive soft-focus or matte appearance. Antmee® SP-E powders are ideal for use as stress relief additives in electronic molding compounds (EMC), internal lubricants for engineering plastics (POM, PA), and sensory modifiers in personal care formulations .

Antmee® SP-C Series – Composite Silicone Powder
These are hybrid powders featuring a silicone rubber core encapsulated by a silicone resin shell . This unique structure combines the impact-absorbing properties of the elastomer core with the dispersibility and surface hardness of the resin shell. Antmee® SP-C powders provide balanced performance in demanding plastic modification applications, improving both impact resistance and surface smoothness without significantly affecting transparency.

4. Primary Applications

  • Plastics Modification: Improves the lubricity, abrasion resistance, and surface smoothness of engineering thermoplastics including POM, PA, PC, and PBT. Reduces coefficient of friction (COF) and eliminates stick-slip noise in automotive interior components and moving plastic parts .

  • Coatings and Inks: Provides matting efficiency, improved scratch and mar resistance, and a smooth, silky tactile feel to both solvent-based and waterborne coatings. Enhances pigment dispersion and orientation in printing inks .

  • Personal Care and Cosmetics: Imparts a soft-focus (soft-focus) effect and a luxurious, non-greasy silky feel to skin care creams, foundations, powders, and sunscreens. Reduces tackiness and improves spreadability. The spherical particles also help fill fine lines and wrinkles for an optical blurring effect .

  • Rubber Compounding: Improves the processing characteristics, mold release, and surface lubricity of synthetic and natural rubber compounds. Reduces friction and enhances abrasion resistance of seals, gaskets, and hoses .

  • Light Diffusion: Silicone resin powders with optimized particle size and refractive index serve as highly efficient light diffusing agents in LED lighting covers, light guide plates, and display films, providing high light transmission with excellent hiding power .

  • Electronic Materials: Used as a stress relief additive in epoxy molding compounds (EMC) for semiconductor packaging, protecting delicate wire bonds and die from thermal cycling fatigue .

5. Packaging and Storage Information

  • Packaging Options: Available in 10 kg cartons, 20 kg paper drums with inner PE liner, or 25 kg multi-wall kraft paper bags. Custom packaging available upon request .

  • Shelf Life: 24 months from the date of manufacture when stored in the original, unopened container under recommended conditions .

  • Storage Conditions: Store in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated area away from direct sunlight, moisture, and sources of heat or ignition. Keep containers tightly sealed when not in use to prevent moisture absorption and contamination. Recommended storage temperature: below 37°C . Avoid exposure to high humidity environments, as silicone powders can absorb moisture which may affect flowability and dispersion characteristics.
